Find your next Awana leaders

The best leaders are often already sitting in your pews. They just need to be asked. This free kit gives you everything to make the ask: words for your bulletin, a quick announcement, a social post and a flyer to print.

Awana leaders wanted! Every [club night], kids at [church] learn God's Word, play games and hear about Jesus. We need caring adults to help as club leaders and game leaders. 30-second announcement

"Do you remember a grown-up at church who knew your name and cheered you on? For a lot of kids at Awana, that's going to be you. We're looking for a few more club leaders and game leaders for [club night]. You don't have to be a teacher or have it all figured out. Just bring a heart for kids, and we'll train you. Find [name] after the service and ask how you can help."

Kids and leaders together at an Awana club night

Print it, post it

Our one-page flyer explains both roles, club leader and game leader, and has space to write your church, club night and contact info. Hang it in the lobby, the coffee area and the kids' check-in.

Tips for a great ask

Ask in person

Announcements open the door, but a personal "I think you'd be great at this" is what gets a yes.

Invite them to visit

Let new folks shadow a club night first. Seeing kids light up does the convincing for you.

Be clear on the role

Share the night, the time, and exactly what they'll do. Clear asks feel doable.

Celebrate your team

Thank leaders publicly. Happy leaders are your best recruiters.

More for your volunteers

Once your new leaders say yes, point them to encouragement, printables and game ideas made just for them.
